White House counselor Kellyanne Conway reacted in disbelief to news that Weekly Standard editor and prominent NeverTrump personality Bill Kristol is considering a run for president.

Kristol’s consideration of a presidential run was first reported by The Daily Caller News Foundation. CRTV Host Eric Bolling asked Conway what she thought of Kristol’s apparent attempts [to consider running for president], to which Conway replied, “Of this country?” in utter disbelief.
Conway continued, “Well, its’ a free country. I guess if you’re 35 and meet the other criterion, then you can. I will tell you that everybody thinks it’s so easy to do that — that they can somehow catch lightning in a bottle the way Donald Trump did.”
Kristol did not deny to TheDCNF that he was considering a run, telling them, “No plans to run. But I’m randomly in Boston today and happen to have had lunch with someone who does a lot of work in New Hampshire … As he’d say, ‘Ya nevah know.'”
