Sports Illustrated released its annual list of the top 50 fittest athletes Wednesday.
The list, which is compiled by a panel of exercise physiologists and trainers, catalogs the top professional athletes (25 men and 25 women) who are considered in peak condition, both in their respective sports and across the board. Athletes were evaluated over the last year based on things like endurance, flexibility, demands, durability, training demands, and more. More on the selection process here. Some of the athletes are predictable. Conor McGregor clocks in at number nine. Pro golfer Brooks Koepka managed to come in at number 25. LeBron James is shockingly high up at number seven.
