Just when I thought I was going to have to quit “Saturday Night Live” forever, someone in the writers room finally got funny again.
I used to think that “SNL” was part of the media machine designed to uphold the myth that the Democratic party isn’t a total mess made up of the most socially and emotionally unappealing wannabe celebrities and failed actors parading as politicians, but clearly, I was wrong.
For the spooky episode of season 48, “SNL” took from every great demon possession, haunted house, slowly-dying friendship group genre of crappy horror movie and revealed Democrat voter’s greatest fear: what if Biden decides to run again in 2024… but what if he doesn’t?! What then?!
Well, just watch and find out…

The entire episode, hosted by Jack Harlow, was either laugh-out-loud funny or weird and cringey, which is exactly what “SNL” is supposed to be. The writers didn’t lean into bashing the Republicans, nor did they shy away from mocking the Biden Administration. Everything pop culture was up for grabs and there were clearly no apologies to be made.
It hit the perfect stride of good and a bit crap, and I’ll definitely be tuning in next week to see more. I just hope this means that the era of woke comedy is over, and we can finally return to roasting anyone and anything that seeks fame, power, or both.
