Disney’s live-action remake of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” features a reconfiguration of the seven dwarfs, according to Daily Mail.
Pictures from the remake show a group of “magical creatures” of varying heights, races, and sexes following the Snow White character. The photos were taken in Bedfordshire, according to the outlet.
Disney faced backlash for the “dwarf” characters last year. Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage criticized the storyline as “fucking backwards,” leading Disney to substitute “magical creatures” in order to “avoid reinforcing stereotypes.” (RELATED: Liberals Melt Down Over GOP Rep. “Literally no offense to anything, but I was sort of taken aback,” Dinklage said. “They were very proud to cast a Latino actress as Snow White, but you’re still telling the story of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.’ Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me. You’re progressive in one way, but you’re still making that fucking backward story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together. Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I’m not loud enough.”

Some little people have criticized Dinklage for his comments, which they say caused little people to be “erased” from the storyline.
“It boggles my mind that a network, instead of listening to an entire community, [is] listening to one person,” producer Terra Jole said. “That’s just how much pull this one person has created in this society because of where he is on the level of popularity.”
