Jane Makin is a recent graduate of the University of Chicago biological sciences division. She currently works in the Ben May Cancer Institute at the U of C researching the control of cell motility by the cytoskeleton and focal adhesions. She plans to pursue her PhD in cell biology and ultimately to focus on cancer metastasis. In her spare time, she bakes to excess.
