Waking up to a headline about how much Connecticut Democratic Congressman Joe Courtney has for his re-election campaign should be kept to himself. The last thing Connecticut voters need to hear is how much a candidate is swimming in money while people in this state can’t pay their bills. (more)

Why I’m wasting my time on this astounds me, but I felt the need to expose the truth on a sad topic; moreover make it stop. How a group could preach their so-called “love of the earth” and turn around and use that same token to make money to evoke their cause is beyond me. (more)

Who would have thought a few simple taps on the keyboard and clicks of the mouse could put a parents mind at ease; moreover, children coming up with the idea? This is what happened on a recent check of my tween’s Facebook account. (more)

Call me neurotic, overprotective, even obsessive, but when it comes to children’s safety I believe every parent has a moral obligation to protect their children. I’ve been the butt of jokes for many years for expressing my concern on this issue, but my track record of hospital visits speak for itself. (more)

By looking at my picture you would not think anything out of the ordinary, but under those nice clothes was a secret I kept for nearly three decades. At the time those pictures were taken almost ninety percent of my body was covered with eczema. (more)

Being the night owl I’ve always been, I had a chance to check out Fox News “Red Eye” during one of my early-morning writing sessions. Host Greg Gutfeld in his nightly “Greg-alogue” touched on an issue that woke me from my writing coma. (more)

Most if not all of us would agree that everyone deserves and has the right to be happy. My question to all of you is what it takes to make a person happy? (more)

My hope is this will be the final chapter of a soap opera that now has our children feeling the most pain. The endless phone battles with my soon-to-be-ex-wife have become quite contentious as this emotional rollercoaster is in full swing, but you can see the pain showing in the children’s eyes. (more)

Einstein said, “Time is just an illusion.” This past week has flown by with such a blur it seems as if time is standing still. The endless hours spent here in my empty house has brought some wonderful healing in my mind during this lonely period. (more)

Almost 50 years ago, a much younger Ronald Reagan stepped to the podium and delivered the most passionate underrated campaign speech in history. This media-branded “dumb actor” articulated a powerful message to a few who chose to listen. Unfortunately, the majority didn’t. (more)

If there is one person that stands out in the field of motivating others, Anthony Robbins (a.k.a. Tony Robbins) is considered the most recognized figure in the world. For three decades this passionate soul has shown the world how to create a life of abundance just by mastering that magic muscle between the left and right ear. (more)

Another day, another sob story on the news about a family forced to leave their home because the big bad bank stole it from them. Time and time again the media promotes this fiscal irresponsibility without looking at the real problem behind the mess: The American consumer. (more)

It was not a surprise to see Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd jump ship and not run for re-election. Even with millions in his war chest to overcome his demise and blanket the state with cushy ads in his defense, Sen. Dodd chose to ride off into the sunset and retire. Nice move.
