Peter Magyar is the European Chairman of Freedom Now, the Washington DC based NGO defending prisoners of conscience worldwide. He is the founder of Magyar &amp; Co, a boutique international law firm. Previously he was a partner at Baker &amp; McKenzie where he was European Head of International Securities, Managing Partner of its Budapest office and a member of the London office's Management Committee and the firm's global Policy Committee.<br /> <br /> Peter has advised on numerous groundbreaking capital markets transactions and privatisations in central and eastern Europe and Ukraine including the first primary listing of a Ukrainian company on the London Stock Exchange, the first listing of a Central European company on the New York Stock Exchange, and the first international IPO by a Ukrainian business.
