Shira Rawlinson works on the Institute for Justice’s award-winning media team. She has secured news coverage in various outlets nationwide, including CBS Evening News, USA Today, Reason Magazine, Dallas Morning News and the Times-Picayune. She also wrote the script for the Institute’s Dallas Sign Ban Infomercial, which highlights IJ’s First Amendment challenge against the city of Dallas for banning commercial signs from business windows and recently won a 2010 Communicator Award. Before joining the Institute for Justice, Shira worked on political campaigns in California and New Mexico as well in the British House of Commons for a Member of Parliament. <br /> <br /> Shira lives in Washington D.C. and enjoys spending her free time cooking, traveling and playing with her dog.
