Slim retired from the U.S. Air Force with over 20 years of service as an F-15E Strike Eagle pilot, and experience at the Headquarters as the Deputy Chief and Chief (acting) of Air Force Weapon Requirements. His last assignment in the Pentagon was Congressional Budget and Appropriations Liaison. As a congressional liaison, Slim served as Chief of Modernization and Sustainment and the Fighter/Bomber/Weapons/Missile portfolio liaison.<br /> Slim's background includes multiple operational assignments, a tour as a Formal Training Unit Instructor Pilot/Evaluator, and an exchange assignment with the Italian Air Force. Heretired as a Senior Command Pilot with over 3000 fighter hours and 400 combat hours. Slim is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a BS in Aeronautical Science and MA in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the USAF Air Command and Staff College and the Defense Language Institute.
