T. Mark McCurley

Former Drone Pilot

Lt. Col. T. Mark McCurley is a retired Air Force pilot, former intelligence operator, and author of the book Hunter Killer: Inside America’s Unmanned Air War. In 2003, he volunteered for the secretive Predator program, deploying five times to Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations, where he has flown the MQ-1 Predator and the MQ-9 Reaper, accruing more than 1,000 combat hours in flight. He is a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and retired from the Air Force in 2013.
