When loon Jared Loughner shot Congresswoman Giffords and others, the left went into a tizzy trying to paint him as a right-wing “tea bagger.” It was clear the mainstream media focused initially on trying to pin the shooting on their sworn enemy, the right. (more)

I’ve been watching “Countdown With Keith Olbermann” regularly since January of 2010. Please, don’t pity me, it only makes it worse. And it’s been quite an entertaining year! Here are my picks for the Top 10 Keith Olbermann Moments of 2010. (more)
NEW YORK (AP) — What Betty White did in 2010 doesn’t usually happen: an 88-year-old actress with more than six decades in Hollywood suddenly became the object of adulation of the Facebook-connected masses, which campaigned for her to host “Saturday Night Live,” boosting the show’s ratings and helping her set ratings records for her own show. Funnyman Jon Stewart, host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” lambasted Republicans for failing to pass a multibillion-dollar bill that would help 9/11 responders pay for health problems that arose from working at ground zero, among other things. (more)
The great thing about the liberal activists’ “unconference,” this past weekend was that anyone and everyone who had an idea for a workshop was invited to slap the theme on a piece of paper, tack it to a giant board and create the RootsCamp agenda in real-time. (more)
President Obama will make an appearance on the Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters tonight at 9pm. The President is stopping by to give the hosts a special myth to bust, though it happens to be one that has already been busted previously on the show. The liberal love affair with Islam is perplexing. While liberals tend to hate traditional Christianity for its more socially conservative worldview, they insist on vigorously defending Islam and its adherents. From Jon Stewart’s moralizing, to Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg’s outrage at Bill O’Reilly, to President Obama’s recent droning about the “spirit of tolerance” in the Indonesian Constitution (in spite of Indonesia’s laws prohibiting speech offensive to Islam), we are forever sermonized that there is a gulf between Islamist extremism and the “vast majority” of normal Muslims, whom we would apparently love to have as neighbors and run into at Whole Foods. Election week on “Countdown”! I’ll give you three guesses as to whether it ended in elation or a splitting headache. Or perhaps it ended with the revelation just this morning on Politico that Olbermann made three $2,400 contributions in the recent election, violating both NBC policy and basic principles of journalism. One donation, to Arizona representative Raul Grijalva, took place on the same day Grijalva appeared on “Countdown.” The other donations went to Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway and another Arizona representative, Gabrielle Giffords. (You will definitely want to read this.) But meanwhile, here’s the week that was: (more)
When I first saw it, I thought the Fred Phelps clan had been reviewing albums on Amazon. Ozzy Osbourne’s “Blizzard of Ozz,” one of the greatest rock and roll records of all time, has received 139 one-star reviews. What was going on? Panning “Blizzard of Ozz” is like panning the Mona Lisa. (more)
I ventured into the maze of irony that was the Rally to Restore Sanity and found that rally-goers in the third or fourth dimension of irony are actually unable to recognize irony at all anymore. (more)
