As each day passes, the overwhelming evidence and recent polling data clearly prove that assessment to be correct. Three months to go before the midterm elections and the conservative airwaves abound with optimism. If it’s “all about the economy, stupid,” that explains why the Democrats are circling the wagons. While Judge Susan Bolton lays out the “Welcome” mat for the illegal immigrants to enter our borders, she is threatening not only our immigration standards, but also our standards as a nation. Since the moment Governor Jan Brewer refused to allow ignorance of the White House to infect her state for another day, this was not about just about immigration totally but about what we wanted this nation to be. We are threatened daily by outside invaders and instead of protecting ourselves, we fight within our own legislative and judicial walls, complicating every aspect of it and back bite ourselves while our nation crumbles. Judge Susan Bolton ruled on the federal government’s motion to enjoin enforcement of the Arizona immigration law, commonly known as S.B. 1070. She split the baby — most of the law will still go into effect, but its most controversial provisions will be enjoined. She concluded that these controversial provisions are likely to be preempted by federal law. (more)
