ABC’s “American Idol” took the top spot in national TV ratings among adults ages 18–49 on Sunday night.
The singing competition series was the only show to receive a rating higher than 1.0, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The rating for “American Idol” was down from last week, but far ahead of any other show broadcast Easter Sunday.

The Sunday night episode was Disney-themed, and judge Katy Perry showed up in full costume. The “Fireworks” singer was dressed head-to-toe as the character of Ursula from “The Little Mermaid.”
An “America’s Funniest Home Videos” rerun and new episode of “Shark Tank” tied for the second-highest rating. Both shows received a 0.8 in the national 18–49 demographic. (RELATED: TV Ratings For The NBA Playoffs Are Down 26% From 2018)
