Kansas City Chiefs star wide receiver Tyreek Hill will not be suspended by the NFL for child abuse allegations, finding no evidence that he assaulted his son, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Chiefs fans received positive news Friday as they learned an extremely impactful member of the team’s offense will be able to immediately return to the team after the NFL’s investigation concluded with no findings of abuse. The alleged situation involved Hill’s son suffering a broken arm, which was linked to the wide receiver disciplining the young boy. The case was closed initially, but was re-opened after a video surfaced of a discussion suspected to be between Hill and his fiancee.
After considering all the details surrounding the situation, the NFL must have felt that there was no necessary action against Hill and his playing status.
I am extremely surprised there will be no suspension pending for the wide receiver, as usually these types of situations involve suspensions for the sole reason of bad publicity for the league. It seems that this was a simple “he said, she said” and the NFL could not decipher exactly what happened during the investigation.
During its investigation, NFL spoke with multiple people on both sides of the allegations into #Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill, including Hill. His fiancee Crystal Espinal did not make herself available, despite repeated attempts. If new info surfaces, it’ll be reopened. Closed as of now.

If this is indeed true and Hill’s fiancee opted not to make herself available, the NFL had to be put in a difficult position. This opens up even more questions moving forward as to why she would not explain what happened and provide assistance to the league.
I am interested to see how Chiefs fans and NFL fans react to this news especially considering how explosive of a talent he is with his lightning-quick speed.
I think the Kansas City Chiefs were even surprised that Hill will be subject to zero punishment for the situation. Now, the Chiefs have to decide if the organization wants to extend his contract as what seemed to be the case before this investigation even surfaced.
It would be mind-boggling if the Chiefs before the season started decided to make Hill the highest-paid receiver in the NFL. What a change in events that would be.
Tyreek Hill is entering the final year of his rookie contract. Earlier in the offseason, the #Chiefs discussed making Hill the highest paid receiver in the NFL. Will be interesting to see where things go from here. DL Chris Jones is also waiting for a new contract.

The most excited person in Kansas City is head coach Andy Reid, who with Hill will have a chance at winning his first Super Bowl.
