It’s not hard to see why Fitzgerald is drawing interest from NFL teams and the Panthers. He’s one of the best coaches in all of college football.

Despite playing with lower level players, he’s had a decent amount of success in the B1G. Last season, Northwestern even won the B1G West.

There aren’t too many coaches in America who could win with the roster he has at Northwestern. The Wildcats aren’t exactly loaded with NFL talent.

Yet, he gets the job done, and generally exceeds expectations.

His success has made him a king at Northwestern. He’s incredibly well paid, he is in complete control and the Wildcats wouldn’t ever dream of firing him.

He might be 100% content never leaving given all those factors. The expectations in the NFL are incredibly high. For the most part, it’s a win now league.

Fitzgerald has built a beautiful program at NW. Staying for the long haul isn’t the worst idea!
