NBA legend Charles Barkley thinks March Madness should be canceled because of coronavirus.
Barkley appeared on ESPN early Thursday morning after fans were banned by the NCAA from March Madness events because of the virus, and said, “I think we’re going to have to shut down March Madness until we know more.”

Why, Chuck? Why? Why did you go on national television and say this? Why are you doing this to me? Are you trying to ruin my life?
I also love how Chuck said he shouldn’t say it because he works for CBS, and then immediately proceeded to say they should shut down the biggest event of the year.
At least he’s a very self-aware man.
NCAA source to me: “Things are moving quickly. Right now, it’s no fans. But we don’t know where this is headed. There have been discussions about canceling or postponing the NCAA Tournament, but we’re hoping it doesn’t get to that point.”

While I understand Barkley’s concern, I still say we stay the course and remain full steam ahead. We can’t let the virus win.
This is America, and we have lives to live. Now, let’s play these games and find a national champion.
