The GoFundMe is north of $84,000, and Yahoo Sports reported that the dual-threat gunslinger also received a private $50,000 donation. That brings his total to more than $134,000. The top donation was $10,000 from the McConaughey family.

According to the GoFundMe’s description, the funds will go to “the Boys & Girls Club of America, the Central Texas Food Bank, Austin Pets Alive and more.”

I know I’ve said it a million times at this point, but I’m not going to stop reminding people how much the world of football has stepped up during this crisis.

It seems like every day there’s another football star who joins the fight against coronavirus, and Ehlinger has served as an incredible example for people around America.

He’s just a college student with a big platform, and he’s using that platform to help people who desperately need it.

He’s a hell of a good dude, and he’s a great reminder of what can happen when athletes use their platforms for positive change.
