New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton sounds like he isn’t happy with the league.

Newton was signed to a one-year deal with the Pats after leaving the Panthers, and it’s very clear he is intent on reminding the world what he’s all about. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Newton talked with Odell Beckham Jr. about not being on an NFL roster for 86 days and said the following in part:

Newton with the Patriots is without a doubt going to be one of the most fascinating storylines of the 2020 NFL season.

The man was an absolute superstar back in 2015. He dominated the NFL just a few years ago. The Auburn Heisman winner was a freak of nature on the field.

However, after some health issues and his play seriously declining at the end of this time with the Panthers, things simply changed.

Now, he has a one-year deal with the Patriots that will allow him to remind everyone what he’s capable of when healthy.

If he’s ready to roll, then the Patriots could be in for a monster season with him under center. That’s just a fact. A man with that much talent paired with Bill Belichick is bad news for opposing defensive coordinators.

No matter what happens, it seems like Newton is zeroed in on proving his haters wrong, and I can’t wait to see if he gets it done.
