Musician Frank Ocean’s 18-year-old brother and a friend died Sunday in a car crash in Southern California.
Ryan Breaux and his friend Ezekiel Bishop, 20, were driving a Tesla down Westlake Boulevard in Thousand Oaks around 1:40 a.m. when the car veered off the road and hit a tree, according to a report published by the Thousand Oaks Acorn.

After slamming into the tree, the car caught on fire. Both of the boys died at the scene, the Acorn reported. It is unknown who was behind the wheel.

“The speed limit is north of 45 mph,” he told KTLA 5. “It’s a nice big stretch of road, so sometimes people do pick up speed.”
Breaux is the younger sibling of Grammy-award winning rapper Frank Ocean. The singer has not commented publicly on the death of his 18-year-old brother.
Both Breaux and Bishop attended Oaks Christian High School and graduated with the class of 2019.
“The world lost two very bright souls today,” a classmate tweeted, according to the Acorn. “They could literally light up any room with their energy. Rest in peace Zeek and Ryan.”
