I finally finished season four of “Boardwalk Empire,” and it was incredible.

As you all know, I’ve been crushingBoardwalk Empire” as my latest show to enjoy, and I’ve loved every second of it through four seasons. (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters)

Is the fourth season the best? It’s honestly hard to say for sure, but it might be. Season three was incredibly dark and sinister from start to finish.

Yet, season four might have actually managed to crank things up a notch.

The season focuses a ton on the Thompson family dynamics, and I have to say that Shea Whighan might have stolen the season.

Eli’s son plays a major role in the trouble consuming the family, and Whigman shines as Nucky’s brother. While he’s been pivotal in previous seasons, things are on a whole different level in season four..

I’ve always been a huge fan of Whigham, and “Boardwalk Empire” might be his greatest performance ever. I won’t spoil anything for anyone, but we see Eli walk some dark paths in season four.

Now, I have one season left of the classic HBO hit show, and I can’t wait to see how the entire saga ends. I have a feeling it’s going to be incredibly epic.

I can’t tell you all how happy I am that I made the decision to jump back in after I stopped watching in college.

Make sure to check back for my review of the fifth and final season once I’m done! I’m pumped to see how everything concludes.
