Musician Britney Spears finally spoke out about the recent documentary that took a closer look at the pop star’s life, especially how she was portrayed by the media.

“My life has always been very speculated … watched … and judged really my whole life !!!” Spears wrote alongside a video of herself dancing on Instagram. “For my sanity, I need to dance to [Steven Tyler] every night of my life ???????????????????????? to feel wild and human and alive !!!”

“I have been exposed my whole life performing in front of people,” she added. “It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability cause I’ve always been so judged … insulted … and embarrassed by the media … and I still am till this day.” (RELATED: Britney Spears’ Social Media Manager Says The Star ‘Creates Her Own Posts’ After She Shares Bizarre Videos)

Spears claimed she didn’t watch the whole documentary but said that she was “embarrassed” by the attention from the New York Times-Hulu documentary.

I don’t blame Spears. It really does seem like she really just wants to be left alone. She’s had a lot going on recently with her conservatorship. Spears has been in and out of court for it. Everyone wants to be an advocate for her, but I’m not sure she needs any advocating anymore.

I love Spears. She’s an icon and she deserves to be respected by everyone.
