Ed Orgeron has no interest in working for Nick Saban.
LSU pushed Coach O out the door in Baton Rouge at the end of this past season, and that means he has a lot of free time on his hands. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
As we all know, Saban is famous for hiring fired coaches to join him in Tuscaloosa in order to rehab their careers, but you won’t see Coach O doing it!

“It will never happen. Never happen! That will never happen with Ed Orgeron, I promise you,” Orgeron responded when asked about potentially joining Alabama’s staff, according to WGNO.

While it would be epic to watch Coach O work for Saban on Alabama’s staff, it is obviously never going to happen.
Why do I say that? Because Coach O isn’t going to destroy his reputation in the state of Louisiana. He might not be coaching the Tigers anymore, but he’s still a hero in the state.
He won a national title with Joe Burrow, and he restored LSU’s program to the level fans want it to be at. If he goes and works for Saban, then he’ll nuke his reputation and good standing in a matter of minutes.
He might not be a head coach anymore, but he’s still a smart guy. Smart men don’t do things to tank their reputations, especially when you’re famous like Coach O.
So, for now, we’ll just have to get used to seeing Ed Orgeron out of the game of college football. He might eventually return, but it won’t be at Alabama.
