Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis picked up the endorsements of four more New Hampshire state representatives just after launching his presidential campaign, the Daily Caller has first learned.

DeSantis and former President Donald Trump, who is the current frontrunner in national polls, have been competing for endorsements throughout the state. Both DeSantis and Trump held events in New Hampshire in April, and both candidates have picked up endorsements from various state representatives.

After DeSantis officially launched his 2024 presidential campaign Wednesday night, he picked up the support of four additional GOP state representatives. State Rep. Kristine Perez flipped from previously endorsing Trump to endorsing DeSantis after his announcement.

The Daily Caller has exclusively learned four other state representatives are endorsing DeSantis. Reps. Matthew Simon, Daniel Popovici-Muller, Katherine Prudhomme-O’Brien, Tom Dolan and Kristine Perez have all signed forms committing their support for DeSantis.

“What we’re seeing in New Hampshire and across the country are conservatives rallying behind Governor Ron DeSantis to move our country forward as the next President of the United States,” Jess Szymanski, a spokesperson for Never Back Down, a PAC supporting DeSantis’ presidential bid, told the Daily Caller.
