A woman released a video of Gary Busey’s reaction after he allegedly rear-ended her car Wednesday and apparently fled the scene.
The woman pursued Busey’s vehicle after the alleged hit-and-run, and she can be heard shouting at Busey and requesting he give her his insurance information, which he refuses to do, as seen in the video posted to TMZ. The damage to both vehicles is evident, as is Busey’s complete disinterest in conversing with the woman about the incident.
The woman said she was driving down the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, when Busey whipped his car out of a shopping center parking lot and allegedly slammed into her rear bumper, according to TMZ. The woman said she expected him to pull over and provide his insurance information, but he allegedly opted to flee the scene instead.
The woman was determined to hold him accountable for the damage he allegedly caused, so she proceeded to pursue Busey, which is when she began recording the experience, according to TMZ.
The female driver managed to follow Busey to a restaurant parking lot, where she continued telling Busey he couldn’t just drive away after hitting her vehicle, but he remained steadfast in his refusal to comply. “I’m private,” he said in the video.
Law enforcement sources confirmed the woman filed a hit-and-run report and detectives are now investigating the matter, according to TMZ. Busey could face criminal charges if it is proven he fled the scene of a car accident that resulted in property damage. Busey has been involved in run-ins with the law in the past.
