Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman mocked the GOP’s Biden impeachment inquiry on Wednesday while wearing a mask of Sen. Bob Casey on his shoulder.

“Oh no, please don’t do it,” Fetterman said, throwing his hands up. “It’s just like those dangerous man over there, you know? The cheap thrills and everything. I don’t know. It’s just, to me, it’s just like they gotta do it, they gotta do it.”

Fetterman was responding to Fox News reporter Hillary Vaughn’s question regarding whether the senator regretted daring House Republicans to move forward with the Biden impeachment inquiry. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced Tuesday that the Republican Party will initiate an impeachment inquiry of the sitting president. “It’s just a political loser,” Fetterman added to the end of his comments as Vaughn began to ask another question.

An anonymous Twitter user reacted to Fetterman’s appearance with a meme, comparing the senator’s Casey mask to Michael Scott’s mask in an episode of “The Office.”

Fetterman sarcastically responded to the impeachment inquiry on Tuesday. Video shows the senator press both hands to his face and clutch his chest as he pleaded to his Republican colleagues, “don’t do it,” and called the announcement “devastating.”

Fetterman has been experiencing verbal hiccups since his stroke while campaigning in 2022. He returned to the Senate in April 2022 following a two-month break after checking himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for depression in Feb. 2023.
