The drama on the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” wasn’t the only thing that got messy — apparently their white couches did too.
Production designers, Matthew B. Kornegay and James Pearse Connelly shared an Instagram reel showing deep spray tan stains on the white couches rented in for the final installment of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 13 reunion, in March. The video clip showed the damage left behind when the stars’ spray tan residue resulted in deep stains all over the couches.

“What really happens with 8 (can’t leave out the Iconic @kathyhilton ) Housewives on 2 rental couches …. Thanks @stanleysteemerofficial” Connelly wrote as the Instagram caption, alongside the video he shared to his page.
The first portion of the clip showed two stylish, crisp-white couches on the set of the show. A few images circulated, showing some of the Real Housewives sitting on the couches during the reunion show.
The camera then panned out, showing the empty couches once more, but this time, the blotches left behind were visible. The camera zoomed in on the stains, showing the self tanner and spray tan that was transferred off the ladies and left oozing into the fabric. Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s “Murder on the Dancefloor” played in the background of the video clip.
Kornegay and Connelly explained that they had to call in the forces to get the mess cleaned up.
“Thank goodness for Stanley Steemer” the reel said.

A bright yellow van logoed with the name of the carpet cleaning company was seen parked outside as staff went to work on the couches in an effort to restore their original color.
“What a great ad for Stanley steamer [sic]…tough on fake tanner, gentle on couches…” one internet user wrote.
“This is why our Nonas had plastic on the furniture,” another person said.

Connelly wrote, “SMART IDEA but we’re up against seat covers not being the most popular aesthetically in BH.”
