Police arrested Dave Matthews alum Boyd Tinsley for DUI, Monday, after he allegedly crashed into another vehicle.

The famous violinist was arrested in Rio, Virginia, after police were called to investigate a 2-vehicle collision, police sources told TMZ. Video footage of the moments leading up to Tinsley’s arrest was posted by the outlet. It appeared to show the officers speaking with Tinsley, and the situation seemed calm and under control. They reportedly conversed for roughly 20 minutes before police handcuffed Tinsley and placed him under arrest, law enforcement said.

Eyewitnesses to the crash told TMZ Tinsley was driving his Escalade when he allegedly crashed into a Corvette. Both drivers reportedly pulled over and exited their vehicles to assess the damage, the sources said. The other driver began noticing that there was something that wasn’t quite right during the exchange with Tinsley, the witnesses told the outlet. The driver of the Corvette phoned police to the scene, at which point they took over carriage of the incident, the sources told TMZ.

He was sued by former Crystal Garden band member James Frost-Winn on claims of sexual harassment, which Tinsley denied, TMZ reported. The two reportedly reached a settlement out of court.

Tinsley was also sued in February for violating a mutual non-disparagement clause in a settlement over his behavior online, according to TMZ. (RELATED: Justin Timberlake’s Attorney Issues Statement As New Details Of The Star’s DWI Arrest Emerge)
