Country music legend Mark Chesnutt shared a social media post July 16 announcing his official return to the stage after undergoing emergency quadruple bypass surgery.

Chesnutt took to Instagram just one month after suffering serious medical issues that required immediate hospitalization. The “Too Cold at Home” star displayed a photograph of himself as a promotional ad, letting fans know that he will be performing a live show in Alabama, Oct. 9.  This gives the star several weeks to continue to recover and regain his strength.

“I’m recovering comfortably at home with my family. Today we sat on the porch just soaking in the sun and that beautiful Texas weather. But I can’t wait to get back to pickin’ and singin’ with all my favorite fans! Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers,” he said.
