I was a big anti-fan of his big anti-rally, but I give him kudos for sitting face-to-face with a representative of all he reviles and managing to be spiteful and dishonest in a civil and sometimes even humorous fashion:

When Barack Obama was elected President of the United States, did Jon Stewart congratulate ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, Time, Newsweek, and all the other media organizations that ran interference? Just kidding, Jon’s a comedian and therefore we shouldn’t criticize his political opinions, which we’re supposed to pay attention to because he’s famous for being a comedian.
To his credit, he does then clarify that he doesn’t think Fox News mind-controlled millions of voters into rejecting his agenda, so at least he’s not blaming them for keeping sanity from being restored.
And I have to admit, he makes a good point about the media going too easy on Sarah Palin. She should cancel this week’s book-burning, put down her fake baby, and address the American people’s concerns about her choice of jogging attire.
P.S. Tim Geithner visited Jon Stewart’s office earlier this year. They must’ve been punching up some new material for Geithner’s latest HBO special.
