That’s right, the Daily Caller is one year old today. And in honor of one-year-olds everywhere, I will spend the day crying, trying to walk, and pooping my pants. Then again, these days that’s pretty much my usual schedule.
My very first post here was titled “Tucker Carlson is completely out of his mind,” and I think I made a pretty good case if you’re still on the fence. You can read it here. Oh, to be a year younger, still full of hope, and not yet mowed down by a government vehicle… (I’m not sure what happened to the picture that went with that post. Since then, they’ve moved me to a different server or some sort of computer crap like that, and that pic got lost in the shuffle. But trust me, it was adorable.)
So, to everybody who said we’d never make it this far, thanks for being as wrong about that as you are about everything else. As recent events have shown, there’s never been a greater need for more voices in the public square, and I’m honored to be one of them. Thanks to everybody here at the Caller, and to all you guys who’ve stopped by during this past year. I look forward to our second birthday, assuming no further harm befalls me. Hey, anything’s possible!
