Singer R. Kelly, who allegedly engaged in sex with an underage girl and urinated on her face several years ago, will not be relocating to the Washington, D.C. area anytime soon, contrary to Monday reports that the artist was trying to find a place to live in the nation’s capital. UrbanTurf, an online D.C. real estate guide, cited R. Kelly’s supposed Facebook status update, which read, “Anyone who knows anyone in D.C. have any good suggestions for finding an apartment? Looking for a one bedroom in capitol hill. help me please.”
When the Washington Examiner’s Yeas and Nays team contacted R. Kelly’s rep about this, the spokesperson said that the Facebook account was a fake. The Grammy Award winner has no plans to move to D.C.
That’s not to say he won’t be visiting the district. The “I Believe I Can Fly” singer has two concerts in the area this week. He’ll be at the Washington Verizon Center on Saturday and in Baltimore, Maryland on Friday.
