1.) Syria is a Tea Party pooper — The Tea Party wants to balance America’s budget — and apparently stay the hell out of Syria. TheDC’s Alex Pappas reports:

“At a large tea party rally Wednesday, conservative talk show host Glenn Beck changed the topic from domestic policy, railing against the Obama administration’s arming of Syrian rebels while the crowd booed loudly in agreement. The move was striking, as since its inception in 2009, the tea party has largely stayed away from foreign policy issues, emphasizing issues of limited government instead. ‘Now they are plotting a new war with Syria,’ Beck said of the Obama administration during the ‘Audit the IRS’ tea party rally, drawing boos from the thousands in attendance on the West Lawn of the Capitol.”

2) Media bias warrior — Like many people on the political right, Ric Grenell doesn’t think the media plays it quite straight. But more than most people, the former spokesman to numerous American ambassadors to the UN isn’t shrugging his shoulders. TheDC’s Jamie Weinstein reports:

“If you’re a journalist, Ric Grenell is watching you. He’s watching and evaluating you. And if he thinks you’re biased — which he probably does — you have a good shot of being scolded by him on Twitter. There’s no use fighting back because Grenell is relentless. He’ll bombard you. He’ll outlast you. That’s why the insider Washington press blog FishbowlDC named Grenell the number one journalist you don’t want to fight on Twitter, calling him the ‘Mike Tyson’ of the social media network.”

Agree with him or not, you’ve got to admit, he’s got spirit.

3.) Where does Ed Markey live? — Perhaps not in the state he is running for Senate. TheDC’s Patrick Howley reports:

“A pro-Republican Super PAC sent a letter to the comptroller of Maryland this week alleging that Democratic Massachusetts congressman and Maryland homeowner Ed Markey may not have paid taxes on his Maryland property. Markey instead filed a tax return in Massachusetts, where he is currently running for the U.S. Senate against Gabriel Gomez in a special election to be held next Tuesday. Markey has been hounded during the campaign by accusations that he does not actually reside in Massachusetts, where he has owned his parents’ modest home since 2001 despite owning a much more lavish property in Chevy Chase, Maryland, where he resides for most of the year.”

4.) Tea Party fun in the sun  —  If you like videos and you like laughing, you might like this (emphasis on the might):

“Daily Caller senior editor Jamie Weinstein visited the Tea Party Patriots’ rally on Capitol Hill Wednesday to see where the Tea Party disappeared to on Election Day last November when it mattered. Only, he got sidetracked by an interminable speech by messianic conservative preacher Glenn Beck, a Tea Party pretzel maker, a bold political candidate from Virginia with a strong stance on polygamy, and a nap.”

Watch the video. Now.
