Senator: Obama using Iran deal to distract from Obamacare

One Republican lawmaker is suggesting that the Obama administration’s motive for making a deal with Iran over the country’s nuclear program is to “distract attention” from the disastrous roll out of Obamacare.

Reacting to the news Saturday night of the deal that freezes parts of Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for relief from U.S. sanctions, Texas Sen. John Cornyn accused President Obama of a diversionary tactic.

Obama has seen his approval ratings drop to below under 40 percent since the Oct. 1 implementation of his landmark health care law — which has been rocked by Americans losing coverage, seeing higher premiums and having trouble using the Healthcare.gov website to enroll in the exchanges.
