Miriam Weeks, the 18-year-old Duke University freshman turned hardcore starlet who goes by the nom de porn Belle Knox, will now host a web-based reality show.

The online show, called “The Sex Factor,” will involve a challenge-based competition among eight first-time porn actors and actresses. At stake is a $1 million prize and, of course, “porn stardom,” reports the Daily Mail.

America will vote to determine the winning contestant — and help establish the rookie porn thespians’ all-important porn names.

Knox (star of “Naughty Cheerleaders 4”) will be surrounded by porn veterans who will judge the competition. The star-studded cast of judges is slated to include Tori Black (“Anal Buffet 5”), Lexi Belle (“Lipstick Lesbo 5”) and Keiran Lee (“MILF Magic”).

“This reality show is going to be such a game-changer that Simon Cowell will wish he’d thought of it himself,’ a source close to the production boasted, according to the Mail.

Prior to the show’s debut in May, there will be a casting call in San Francisco. In January, the winner will be announced in Las Vegas at the AVN Awards — the Oscars ceremony of porn.

Weeks, a double major in women’s studies and sociology at Duke, confided in a fellow Duke student about her career as a porn star earlier this year. He told some dudes at a frat house. Then word spread like wildfire.

For a long time, Weeks didn’t want her real name revealed – or even her adorably slutty porn name revealed – despite the fact that she had  done at least two interviews, written about herself on a Duke blog and been invited to speak in various Duke classes on the topic of sex work.

She had said she got into the adult film industry as a way to defray the exorbitant cost of attendance at Duke, where the grand total for tuition, fees and room and board is about $58,000 per year. (RELATED: Duke porn starlet says hardcore career necessary to defray $58,000 Duke price tag)

In interviews since her identity has become  public knowledge, Weeks has explained that porn was an ideal moonlighting career because it pays well but doesn’t require a lot of hours. She has also described the experience of having sex with random dudes in front of a camera for money as empowering.

Naturally, there was some tension when Weeks’s strict Catholic family back in Spokane, Wash. learned about her part-time job. (RELATED: Duke porn star’s Army doctor dad learned about daughter’s career upon return from Afghanistan)

Family members dealing with the newfound information included her father, an Army doctor who had just returned from Afghanistan. There was also her brother, a devout Catholic who spends his time doing Christian outreach work.

According to the Mail, the Weeks family has now come to terms with her career decision, and they support her.
