Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz dismissed Hillary Clinton’s refusal to be “part of a political slugfest on the backs of dead Americans” — a reference in her new book about the Benghazi attacks — with the senator claiming that “with Secretary Clinton, it seems to be all politics, all the time.”

Cruz spoke with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Sunday about a new chapter leaked from Hillary Clinton’s upcoming book “Hard Choices,” which discusses Benghazi. The former secretary of state expressed an unwillingness to be involved in further investigations into the September 11, 2012 attacks and its political aftermath, calling it nothing but a “political slugfest.”

Cruz turned the tables on Clinton. “You know, the sad thing with Secretary Clinton, it seems to be all politics, all the time,” he asserted. “From what we know about this book chapter, it’s pure political spam. And she’s more focused on blaming the vast right-wing conspiracy than the terrorists. The truth shouldn’t be partisan.”
