More Texas congressmen are expressing outrage over Planned Parenthood’s alleged abortion quotas, calling on Planned Parenthood to address the allegations and reiterating support for nationwide defunding.

Earlier this week, a former Planned Parenthood manager came to the Daily Caller with a budget statement she said proves that her clinic had annual abortion quotas it needed to meet in order to make its budget. The budget, from fiscal year 2010, said that the now-closed clinic in Bryan, Texas needed to perform at least 1,135 abortions in order to generate the necessary $355,581 in revenue. “It is utterly appalling that Planned Parenthood would have annual abortion quotas just to meet their financial goals,” said Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert. “With the vast amount of money Planned Parenthood receives from U.S. taxpayers, it is critical that we determine whether or not any staff members were told that their salaries were contingent on their pushing a certain number of young women to abort their babies. The idea of salaries being contingent on the number of babies destroyed is unmitigatingly evil.” (RELATED: Had A Lot Of Abortions? Planned Parenthood Is Giving Out Awards)

Planned Parenthood has repeatedly refused to return calls for comment.

“There’s one thing more repugnant than the latest revelations about Planned Parenthood’s insatiable appetite for killing as many babies as possible to maximize profits,” Rep. Steve Stockman said. “And that’s the refusal of too many to exercise Congress’ purse power to defund Planned Parenthood. The Republican Party  has maintained majority control of the House of Representatives for 16 of the last 20 years and have failed to do so.” (RELATED: Yet Another Planned Parenthood Underage BDSM Video)

Gohmert and Stockman join Rep. Bill Flores, who earlier this week said that “While the murder of any unborn child is appalling, even more criminal is the establishment of a target to kill over 1,100 innocent Texas children in order to meet financial targets.” (RELATED: Texas Congressman Enraged Over Planned Parenthood Abortion Quotas)

Planned Parenthood has also refused requests for comment from Texas news outlet KBTX.
