In response to the death of African-American man Freddie Gray in police custody, Baltimore pastor Jamal Bryant said on CNN’s “New Day” that there was a “hunting season on black men” across America.

“There’s got to be a complete overhaul of the criminal justice system, not just in Baltimore but across the country,” he said. We’re seeing a pattern of a hunting season on black men across America, from Ferguson to Sanford to Staten Island and now here in Baltimore.” (VIDEO: Pastor On CNN: Prison System Is Racist, ‘Akin To What Slavery Was’)

Going off on a bizarre tangent, the good reverend used the situation to push the Senate to confirm President Barack Obama’s attorney general nominee. “That’s why it’s so necessary for Loretta Lynch to be confirmed, so the whole area is fumigated and we start from the bottom.”
