An Al Jazeera poll asked if the Islamic State is beneficial to the region, and a shocking amount of respondents voted yes.
The poll, on the TV channel’s Arabic-language website, asked: “Do you consider the Islamic State’s advance in Iraq and Syria to benefit the region?” With over 50,000 votes cast, 81 percent answered “Yes” and 18 percent voted “No”.

Pro-Islamic State Twitter accounts were promoting the poll and asking supporters to vote for the terror organization.

The poll closes May 28, according to the website. There was no similar poll on Al Jazeera America’s English-language website.
