Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested Monday afternoon after he assaulted an assistant UCLA football coach.

The rapper reportedly hit the coach with a kettlebell weight and was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, which can be charged as a felony or a misdemeanor in California depending on the circumstances.

No one was seriously injured when the two got in a fight at the Acosta Athletic Training Complex at the school where Diddy’s son Justin Combs is a defensive back. A source told TMZ that the coach was “riding Justin, screaming intensely at him” during practice as Diddy watched from the sideline.

He later confronted the coach and got in a fight with him, and was then arrested by campus police.

“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation,” head football coach Jim Mora said in a statement.

“This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.” (RELATED: Anakin Skywalker’ Arrested After Insane Car Chase With Cops)
