Hey, remember this, back in September 2013?

Well, now there’s some follow-up news. Reuters:
U.S. officials disclosed plans on Friday to station the first American boots on the ground in Syria in the war against Islamic State fighters, saying dozens of special forces troops would be sent as advisers to groups fighting against the jihadists.
I guess they’ll be wearing some sort of footwear other than boots? Or their boots will be made in China? Or they’ll carry their boots and walk barefoot when their feet have to touch the ground? I’m sure they’ll find some way around this irksome technicality. It’s not as if the Greatest President in American History is going to break such an ironclad promise. It’s been a little while since we’ve seen a good ol’ anti-war protest. How’s that going, guys?

Well, give them time. They’re a little rusty. They haven’t had to pretend to care about war since they put a Democrat in the White House.
