Joy Behar defended Carly Fiorina on ABC’s “The View” Wednesday and criticized Hillary Clinton for laughing in response to a supporter who said he wanted to “strangle” Fiorina.

“In all fairness, let’s be fair, if somebody had said that to Donald Trump and he had laughed, we would be ripping him a new one and she [Clinton] did not — she should have stood up to him, I’m sorry, I have to say that,” Behar said. (RELATED: Hillary Clinton Laughs At The Thought Of Strangling Carly Fiorina [VIDEO])

Host Paula Faris said Clinton made a mistake laughing because “we held Carly Fiorina to a certain standard and expected her to stop that voter in his or her tracks. The same thing with Donald Trump when they were saying that President Obama was a Muslim. I think every politician, especially, we’re talking about violence against a woman. We’re talking about strangling a woman here. You’re talking about strangling a woman.”

Faris later said Clinton has “to stand up for the only other female that’s out there.”

Michelle Collins, who said Fiorina’s face was “demented,” did not come to Fiorina’s defense, instead defending Clinton. “The tone he said it in was a jokingish tone,” said Collins.

“Everyone in the room laughed here. Everyone in the room laughed there. The guy was obviously, I’m assuming, a guy who worked and lost his job. He wasn’t the only one. 30,000 people lost their jobs under Carly Fiorina and there were a host of other issues when she was CEO. Listen, Homer has been strangling Bart.” (RELATED: CNN Blasts ‘View’ Hosts For Saying Fiorina Has A ‘Demented’ Face [VIDEO])
