Michael Latta of the Washington Capitals and Ryan White of the Philadelphia Flyers got into your classic NHL fight Thursday night. But this fracas took an interesting twist.

As Latta was throwing several punches, White’s head slipped into his jersey. Typically this would be the moment where an NHL player would go in for the kill and absolutely hammer a guy who had his jersey over his head. Instead Latta waited for White to regain his composure and pull his head out before continuing to punch him.

WATCH:

Classy move by Latta for letting White gather himself before continuing the fight. He could have easily just knocked him out and ended the fight without anybody stepping in to stop him. Instead he chose to take the high road.
