Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton joked last week that if elected, she would “get to the bottom of” UFOs and Area 51.
In an editorial meeting with the Conway Daily Sun, Clinton said that her campaign chairman John Podesta “has made me personally pledge we are going to get the information out one way or another. Maybe we could have, like, a task force to go to Area 51.”
Podesta was chief of staff to Bill Clinton and counselor to Barack Obama.
This was not the first time a Clinton has commented on UFOs or Area 51. In 2007, Conway Daily Sun reporter Daymond Steer asked Hillary about UFOs as well.
Bill Clinton told Jimmy Kimmel that he wouldn’t be surprised if aliens had visited earth, joking, “I just hope it’s not like ‘Independence Day.'”
Hillary agreed with her husband’s comment, telling the Conway Daily Sun, “I think we may have been. We don’t know for sure.”
