Hillary Clinton sent out a fundraising email during the State of the Union begging for money saying that if her campaign doesn’t have the finances “the next State of the Union could be delivered by Donald Trump or [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore].”
The email began with praise for President Obama saying, “I am so proud of what we’ve accomplished under President Obama’s leadership — if we win this election, you and I are going to build on his progress together.”
“But there’s no guarantee we get that chance. The polls are tightening in Iowa and New Hampshire. If we don’t have the resources to win those key early states and then the nomination, the next State of the Union could be delivered by Donald Trump or Ted Cruz.”
The latest Quinnipiac poll has Bernie Sanders up by five points against Clinton in Iowa and the latest Monmouth poll has Sanders up 15 points in New Hampshire.
In the latest Fox News Poll, Trump is beating Clinton by three points in a general election.
