Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump drew laughs at a campaign event in Iowa Sunday when he joked about sitting through a sermon on humility.

“We talked about humility in church today,” Trump told his supporters at a rally after attending a Presbyterian church service in eastern Iowa, reported The New York Times. “I don’t know if that was aimed at me, perhaps,” he continued to laughter from the crowd.

Trump attended the lengthy service at First Presbyterian Church with his campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and his spokeswoman Hope Hicks. Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson — under pressure after The Daily Caller revealed she has a long history of targeting conservatives, Christians and Catholics on Twitter — was not in attendance.

The pastor of the church acknowledged Trump, who sat in the fifth pew and tossed a couple of 50 dollar bills into the offering plate, and then preached about humility, reported TheNYT. Trump later told reporters he enjoyed the service.

“I have more humility than people think,” Trump said backstage after the campaign event.

Trump remains at the top of the national polls going into the Iowa caucuses next week, where he is battling Republican Sens. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] and [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore] for the nomination. “It’s crunch time, folks,” Trump told reporters backstage. “I mean, I wanna win Iowa. I really wanna win it.”
