An Idaho pastor who delivered a prayer at a weekend event for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz was seriously wounded by a gunman just hours later.
According to news reports, Altar Church minister Tim Remington was shot multiple times in the parking lot of his church in Coeur d’Alene on Sunday. Police are searching for 30-year-old suspect Kyle Andrew Odom.
“Odom should be considered armed and dangerous,” the Coeur d’Alene Police Department said in a statement.

On Saturday, Cruz Remington’s delivered an invocation at a Cruz event in Coeur d’Alene.
Asked if there was any evidence of a connection between the shooting and Remington’s political activism, Detective Jared Reneau of the Coeur d’Alene Police Department told TheDC: “I don’t have any information indicating the shooting was related to Remington and the Cruz event.”
Alice Stewart, a spokeswoman for Cruz’s campaign, told The Daily Caller: “Our prayers are with Pastor Tim, his family, and the doctors who are supervising his care. We pray for his full recovery and are thankful for the efforts of law enforcement to ensure the attacker is swiftly brought to justice.”
