Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] has called on Gov. John Kasich and Sen. [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore] to drop out of the presidential race because “Donald and I are the only two that have any path to getting to 1237 delegates.”

During a press gaggle in Miami on Wednesday, Cruz said, “I think both Marco Rubio and John Kasich are going to have to look at the race and assess their prospects. It is a simple question of math whether or not one can get to 1237 votes. And if a candidate does not have a path to the nomination, then it is time for that candidate to prayerfully reflect with their family whether this is a path forward for them.” (RELATED: Carly Fiorina Backs Ted Cruz For President)

“And if there is not, then it is up to each of the candidates to make that decision,” Cruz said. “This race, I believe, will end up one-on-one between me and Donald Trump because Donald and I are the only two that have any path to getting to 1237 delegates.”

“And head-to-head with Donald Trump, we win,” Cruz claimed. “The polling yesterday showed we beat Donald head-to-head by 13 points. And so if you don’t believe Donald Trump is the best nominee for Republicans, if you recognize as 65-70 percent of Republicans do that Donald loses to Hillary in the general, then I would encourage Republicans even if you were supporting another candidate to come, join Carly, join the millions of conservatives who are coming together, unifying behind our campaign.”
