Democratic National Committee chair [crscore]Debbie Wasserman Schultz[/crscore] said “there is just no shred of evidence to suggest that I am favoring Hillary Clinton.”

“I’m not doing a very good job wrapping the nomination up for her if I were actually favoring Hillary Clinton,” Wasserman Schultz told Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo on “Mornings with Maria.”

Bartiromo told the Florida congresswoman, “I mean, it’s pretty clear that you’re favoring Hillary Clinton. What do you want to say to Bernie Sanders supporters?”

Wasserman Schultz replied, “No, no. There is just no shred of evidence to suggest that I am favoring Hillary Clinton.”

“I am running — if I — Maria, if I wanted to go, I’m not doing a very good job wrapping the nomination up for her if I were actually favoring Hillary Clinton. I could have worked a lot harder at it, if that were what I was doing,” Wasserman Schultz said. (VIDEO: CNN’s Tapper Challenges DNC Chair To Explain ‘Rigged’ Superdelegate System)

“There is no evidence to that effect,” the Florida congresswoman claimed. “If I wanted to support a particular candidate, I would do exactly that, not be DNC chair, and go support a candidate. But I truly believe that my time is best spent making sure that I can get our party ready, to make sure we can continue the progress that we have made under Barack Obama, the economic progress, the social justice progress, the humans rights progress, the civil rights progress — all of which would be rolled back, if we were to elect, God forbid, Donald Trump, who has espoused the most un-American, vitriolic, misogynistic, vile policies of any presidential candidate in modern times.
