During a Sunday morning interview on CNN, Bernie Sanders would not commit to supporting Hillary Clinton if she wins the Democratic nomination.

“State of the Union” host Jake Tapper asked Sanders — who won the Democratic caucuses in Alaska, Washington and Hawaii Saturday night — what it would take for him to support the former secretary of state.

“If Clinton wins the nomination but refuses to endorse Medicare for all, you would refuse to support her?”

Sanders responded by claiming he “doesn’t want to talk about what happens if we lose.”

“We’re in this race to win, Jake,” the Vermont Senator added. “And the reason that we have the kind of momentum that we have is we’re talking about what the questions are about.”

“I have a lot of respect for Secretary Clinton. I have known for her 25 years,” he continued. “We’ll see what happens at the end of the process but our function and our goal and we’re working hard at it, we think we can succeed and that is to win the Democratic nomination.
