Dallas Police Chief David Brown said on Monday that protesters should “get off that protest line” and “don’t be a part of the problem.”

During a press conference, Brown was asked what his advice would be to black people who fear police officers to which he replied, “Become a part of the solution. Serve your communities. Don’t be a part of the problem.”

“We’re hiring,” Brown said. “We’re hiring. Get off that protest line and put an application in and we’ll put you in your neighborhood and we will help you resolve some of the problems you’re protesting about.” (RELATED: ‘I Wasn’t Born Last Night’ — Dallas Police Chief Scolds Jake Tapper For Asking Question About Gun Control [VIDEO])
